I have always drawn. My parents nurtured my interests in art from an early age. I spent a lot of my pre teen through early teen Saturdays at an art teachers house. At 15 I started skateboarding and that changed my life. I saw cool artwork, I saw culture, I saw tattoos. After high school I decided to pursue art seriously and enrolled in art school. I studied figure drawing and oil painting for a couple of years. My interest in tattoos had grown and by 1993 I had started tattooing. I worked in Chicago with some great people up until October of 2000. I have been in Portland ever since. I now own Oddball Studios. I paint and make art regularly, I usually do a few art shows a year. I enjoy making tattoo machines but only do it occasionally now. I still ride a skateboard. I spend my free time with my wife and daughter, they are my inspiration.

Hi Jason. I found your old business card and looked you up on Goggle. I had you do a
tattoo of a phoenix on my back just before you left Chicago for Portland. That was about 13 years ago. I have taken good care of it and it still gets alot of compliments. It looks like your doing well. Congrats! Just wanted to touch base with you. Can you give me the location of your shop? I would like to visit Portland sometime soon and stop by to see your shop. I’m way overdue for a new tattoo.
    Thank you,
    Peter Cruz.
